Role impact:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Management & Organizational Development, the Manager, Organizational Development leads some of the organization-wide initiatives under the banner of Cadillac Fairview’s strategy of making people and our OneCF culture our competitive advantage.  This role is responsible for Organizational Development programs, processes & initiatives that support our OneCF Culture, People Strategy & CF’s Core Strategy focused on culture & capacity across our Global locations mainly our offices in Canada, Dallas USA, Singapore, Asia & London, UK.  This role will manage and evolve programs within CF’s Building Leaders programming and CF Talent Cycle, supporting CF’s Core Strategy on culture and building capability to deliver our plan.  In addition this role will collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to drive and support initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and business results, making people and culture our competitive advantage.  All these responsibilities are required during the biggest period of growth in CF's history from an asset class, geographic and total assets under management perspective.

 

The incumbent will be a positive, high energy, proactive, organized individual, with exceptional communication skills, who will contribute to a high performance work environment that supports the development and retention of talent at all levels.

 

What you will deliver:

  • Owns the CF Building Leaders Program delivery across all levels of the organization, including calendar, new programming communications plan & scorecard.  CF Building Leaders Programs includes Workshops built to support employees’ growth & development through every stage of their career, Values Labs to connect with peers on relevant topics and CF’s Learning Hub with curated content for learning on demand.
  • Create new and refresh Building Leaders content in support of CF’s Core Strategy focused on culture & capability that are based on CF Values, including Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) resources for our I&D Portal, new Values Lab topics to drive our Values behaviours, refreshing & maintaining relevant CF Learning Hub content & content to  build capability within the organization in areas needed most to deliver on our strategic plan, such as innovation, design thinking, effective collaboration, team effectiveness, empowerment, etc.
  • Facilitates CF Building Leaders Programs and partners with 3rd party facilitators where required, working together to ensure high quality sessions delivered to the organization,  Additionally, manages external vendor relationships for learning and development systems and processes.
  • Leads the continuous improvement of OneCF Coaching program & metrics, driving adoption and building organizational capability to coach and connect employee development with overall performance.
  • Leads the Employee Onboarding experience & metrics, to ensure all new employees feel welcome, and ensure that their first days, weeks and months build a solid foundation for their employee journey
  • Working with HR and the business leaders to lead or support cross functional business initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, address business goals and needs and shape the OneCF culture.  Collaborate and advising on learning solutions as it relates to the businesses change management and learning activities. 
  • Responsible for HR CF Mosaic content, page development & maintenance including supporting culture moments celebrations and acknowledgements collaborating effectively with Corporate Communications and Brand Marketing
  • Builds effective internal communication memos and presentation decks to communicate CF’s processes, new programs, etc. for employee understanding and perceived value
  • Expands CF Employee Value Proposition on social media outlets and builds award applications 
  • Supports CF Strategy initiatives on the HR plan, including supporting the I&D roadmap
  • Research and implement existing and emerging best practices in organizational development and apply these insights to continuously enhance processes and programs. 

                                 

 What your strengths are:

  • Thoughtful, direct, and candid communication style, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to both line management and senior executives.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement and project management as well as behavioral science applications.  Experience with larger scale process and project management.
  • Highly adaptable, with a track record of success during times of growth and organizational change
  • Has played a role amongst a team in developing strategy and translating it into tangible outcomes.  Able to develop comprehensive strategy as well as disciplined execution and control plans. 
  • Track record of developing trust and influence at multiple levels to make things happen.  Highly developed relationship and organizational skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, senior management and stakeholders. 

                                               

What you need to succeed:      

  • University Degree in business or a related discipline.  Advanced professional credentials are an asset.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience with a focus on organizational development, and strong knowledge of emerging issues and trends.  Experience with an organization of comparable scale and complexity as CF with multiple locations.
  • Experience with organizational development programs in Canada and the USA.  Experience with countries outside North America would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge in organizational design, change management, and learning & development from hourly unionized to senior levels
  • HR Generalist experience and/or business experience outside HR can be an asset, particularly in the context of further career growth within CF.
  • High degree of alignment with our OneCF culture and values
  • CHRP designation
