Role impact:

The Senior Manager, Quality Management role is to lead the integration of Quality Management practices early in the system design and requirements gathering processes, with a focus on value, assuring back-end systems are able to meet their service level objectives, while user experiences are delivered seamlessly. This role is to provide leadership and guidance to Testing Specialist and Analysts to meet the complexity and demands for proper application of QM processes driven by customer-facing digital experiences. The Senior Manager, Quality Management will identify and implement continual improvement initiatives to help CF systems and products improve their overall experience, establish automated regression and performance testing frameworks for projects and develop pragmatic reusable and sustainable QM processes that carefully balance risk and costs.

What you will deliver:

  • Lead the development of Quality Management processes, framework, methodologies and controls on behalf of the enterprise
  • Establish and continually evolve the development of QM standards
  • Champion and educate Quality Management across the technical and business teams
  • Oversee QM activities, ensure compliance with established framework and escalate deviations as needed
  • Contribute as a QM subject-matter expert to the development of organizational capabilities and competencies Collaborate with IT leadership, project and product teams in development of QM Strategies, Plans and Test Cases
  • Establish and continually develop strategic Quality Management sourcing relationships
  • Manage the application of Quality Management practices performed by resources with direct and indirect reporting relationships
  • Work closely with Information Security, Enterprise Risk and Compliance stakeholders to identify Quality Control requirements
  • When needed, review and/or author and execute test cases

What you need to succeed:      

  • University or College degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant experience leading the introduction of Quality Management programs within medium to large corporations
  • Ability to develop and build strong working relationships at all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of modern Quality Management practices including cloud, automation and DevOps
  • Proven ability to negotiate and effectively manage outsourced vendor and staff relationships
  • Familiarity with Retail and Real-Estate businesses
  • An ISTQB, CSQA or CMSQ qualifications or equivalent an asset
  • Practical experience working with traditional and agile delivery practices
  • Proven, structured problem-solving and critical-thinking expertise
  • Prior experience managing internal staff
  • ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL standards
