Role Summary:

The Manager, Change Management will play a key role in ensuring Finance Transformation projects meet and sustain their business objectives by increasing employee adoption of people, process, and technology changes across the organization. This role is a key contributor to the stakeholder and communications side of the change and capability-build projects. Focused on communications planning, design and delivery, the successful candidate will contribute to developing and implementing change management strategies and plans to increase awareness, generate excitement, and optimize adoption. This role partners and collaborates with business and technology leaders to provide the right level of change management support to deliver successful project and program outcomes. 

This position is located in Toronto, Ontario at the Head Office (20 Queens) . The successful candidate must have the flexibility to travel within the region as well as travel across the country approximately 15% of the time

 

You will:

Communications & Change Management

  • Own the integrated communication planning calendar for Finance across transformation initiatives
  • Own the design, development, and delivery of global-level change communications across the transformation and collaborate with the Corporate Communications where appropriate
  • Create and maintain standards/templates to support two-way communications development work across transformation projects and programs; implement the standards for communications including digital and non-digital communication channels
  • Develop and maintain the language, messages, and guidance in shared repositories to enable business leads and local project change analysts to deliver on local communications requirements in a connected and cohesive manner
  • Support defining and communicating the case for change and its benefits for the business and all relevant stakeholders across transformation programs and projects
  • Support the detailed assessment of change impact to stakeholders. Pinpoint and analyze the most critical behavioural changes and drive communications to support change adoption.

 

Program & Project Management

  • Develop a communications dashboard to support the monitoring of communications activity across multiple transformation programs and projects
  • Contribute to project planning (support program and project managers) by identifying change management and communications activities, deliverables and dependencies required across multiple projects
  • Contribute to evaluating the change risk to all projects in scope, identifying and mitigating those risks that present a significant threat to project outcomes 
  • Guide local/project change analysts to apply transformation change standards and produce the necessary change documentation and deliverables
  • Support local/project change analysts to create change scorecard for the project and measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the project to ensure that the project meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Lead project post-implementation reviews and recommend opportunities for improvement

 

General

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups across the business, external resources and third-party contractors or consultants to understand and facilitate change requirements
  • Identify critical stakeholders to the project and assess their support level and concerns. Create and implement strategies to proactively manage anticipated resistance

  • Regular liaising with stakeholders in Finance, Investments, Operations, Development (build and support Change Champions) and transformation delivery partners in Data & Technology and Human Resources
  • Communications planning, creation, preparation, and delivery across channels (email, presentation, video); in collaboration with Corporate Communications where appropriate
  • Support program planning and oversight of change management activities for multiple, simultaneous projects; contribute directly for key projects
  • Implement post project implementation recommendations for continual improvement

You have:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree (Post secondary) in a related field, preferably in Finance, Business or Organizational Design
  • Successful track record and minimum 7 years in supporting large scale change initiatives
  • Experience and knowledge of change management and communications principles and methodologies
  • PROSCI certification strongly preferred

  • Acute Finance function acumen and understanding of Information Technology practices

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment with little exposure to noise, dirt, or external elements
  • Normal physical activity such as periodic standing, walking, sitting and use of basic motor skills
