About this role:

The Change Management Lead will play a key role in ensuring projects meet and sustain their business objectives. This role is responsible for the people side of change on projects and will lead the planning, development and implementation of change management plans to increase awareness, build support and optimize employee adoption.  They will partner and collaborate with project leaders, business leaders and key stakeholders to provide the right level of change management leadership to achieve successful project outcomes.

  

You will:

  • Manage multiple, simultaneous projects, providing change management oversight during all project phases including pre and post go-live
  • Evaluate the change risk to all projects in scope, identifying and mitigating those risks that present a significant threat to project outcomes
  • Create change management plans that align to overall project schedule, budget and success metrics
  • Monitor and manage timelines/schedule to keep projects on track by prioritizing change related tasks and key activities
  • Identify critical stakeholders to the project and assess their support level and concerns. Create and implement strategies and materials to proactively manage anticipated resistance
  • Build and implement a communication strategy that creates two-way information flow with impacted stakeholders
  • Assess the detailed change impact to stakeholders. Pinpoint and analyze most critical behaviour changes required for project success. Build and execute actions to enable required behaviour change
  • Build and manage a detailed training and behaviour change plan including related change management education within the company’s leadership programming
  • Create change scorecard for the project and measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the project to ensure that the project meets or exceeds expectations. Identify and promptly escalate issues that impede progress.
  • Facilitate cross organizational meetings to build awareness, understanding and commitment to sustained change
  • Participate in project postmortems and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Manage business stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure active sponsorship and commitment to driving the change
  • Educate and coach project teams on change management best practices towards strengthening internal change capability

 

 You have:

  • Degree in a related field, including Business
  • Successful track record and minimum 8 - 10 years in leading projects and organizational change initiatives
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies (ie. PROSCI)
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrated ability to structure and plan work to deliver the right results on time and on budget
  • Experience and knowledge of process improvement principles and methodologies (ie. Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in mid to large scale technology enabled initiatives
  • Experience in leading cross-functional partners / indirect reports in team project-based work environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills, from front line to executives; ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and with third party resources
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to ask questions and engage others in meaningful discussions to achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience developing  learning material and written communications
  • High energy, proactive and influential leader
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence others to a common deliverable and goal
  • Good  business acumen and understanding of Information Technology practices
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work in changing conditions
  • Strong problem solving skills, can identify issues and get to root cause very quickly
  • Ability to create and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences in both written and verbal format
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Develop and maintain exceptional working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups
