Role Summary:

The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity and Security Technology is responsible for leading cybersecurity programs for the corporation and maintains ownership of security technology standards and programs. The Senior Manager will ensure that security technology systems align with CF cybersecurity requirements, including maintaining the lifecycle program for these technologies. The position reports directly to the Director, Cybersecurity who is responsible for defining the corporation’s strategic direction on cybersecurity whom the Senior Manager will assist in executing on that strategy. The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity will liaise with the requisite business units in the IT Division and across the enterprise to ensure the quality, integrity and completeness of all efforts to keep the CF IT infrastructure secure and resilient. The requirements of this position demand high levels of integrity and trustworthiness owing to the access to CF systems that will be necessary for effective performance in this role. This position will provide leadership in developing and maintaining compliance standards, will assist the Director in the completion of the broad array of compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and will direct and support effective cybersecurity and technology management practices across the corporation.

 

You will:

  • Safeguards all corporate information technology assets by identifying potential and actual security problems, developing and mandating solutions, and tracking the progress of IT efforts in implementing the solutions
  • Directs the deployment of scanning tools such as QualysGuard, Kenna, and other similar platforms to conduct quality, compliance and certification testing of systems, policies and procedures
  • Creates and reports on cybersecurity status, including but not limited to, quality, compliance and certification testing results to a variety of corporate assessment groups such as the IT Steering Committee, Corporate Audit and, where required, to the CF Executive Committee
  • Will act as the owner of, and serve in a liaison capacity between, National Security Operations (NSO) and the IT Division in relation to defining scope and role of new cybersecurity initiatives harden the cyber profile of key corporate IT security initiatives.
  • Owner of security technology policies and procedures, including testing and reporting on property-level compliance against the policies and procedures
  • Primary manager of enterprise security technology systems, with tactical oversight of all related agreements, contractor performance measures and system reliability metrics
  • Develop and report on security technology systems issues and performance to the VP, National Security Operations

 

You have:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science
  • Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience working with enterprise security architecture design and implementation
  • Minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience within a client-focused IT operations environment
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • GIAC Security Essentials Certification
    • GIAC Security Leadership Certification
    • ISACA Certified Information Security Manager
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security
    • (ISC)2 SCCP; (ISC)2 CISSP; (ISC)2 ISSAP
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of employee security awareness training
  • Extensive experience in implementing Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Working technical knowledge of enterprise security solution
  • Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
